It’s no secret that 2020 has been an absolute whirlwind. Despite the year beginning with a bang, Coronavirus quickly became an unavoidable subject, forcing us all to adapt and begin working in a ‘new version’ of normality. We know this year has not been easy for anyone, therefore we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful clients for their continued support. We cannot wait to take 2021 by storm!
However, before we close the door completely on 2020, we’re taking a quick look back at some of the great achievements that Piling Equipment Ltd has accomplished this year.
Sales
Over the course of this year, our sales team have sold a variety of new and refurbished piling rigs, foundation equipment and drilling accessories. Since January we have completed close to thirty shipments and have sold machinery to over ten countries, spanning across five continents. We are proud to be an internationally renowned company with a largely diverse, and constantly expanding, network of clients.
Additionally, our assorted product inventory is regularly being updated, with new and reconditioned piling rigs and drilling equipment available to purchase internationally directly from our UK yard. Our sales team are also able to help source machinery and equipment on behalf of clients seeking a specific make or model. Hire
Since the beginning of the year, our hire team have been busy bees completing an amazing number of rentals, almost four hundred! Our rigs have worked on a number of amazingly varied sites this year, from basement excavations and new builds to double-storey extensions and inside shopping centres.
Our hire fleet has also expanded this year to include a new Cobra T8000 and a new Cobra T12000. Both T-series Cobra rotary rigs are ideal for working on restricted access sites and are both easy to transport and operate on site due to their compact structure, small footprint, and adjustable rubber tracks. Additionally, due to their ever-growing popularity and fantastic reputation, we have also welcomed a brand new Geax EK110 into our fleet. We are so proud to be an agent of Geax and to be able to share our passion for the brand with others.
We’re proud to have one of the most modern, diverse and well-maintained hire fleets in the UK. From CFA and rotary rigs, to mini rigs and drophammers, we have an assortment of drilling rigs and foundation equipment suitable for a variety of jobsites and projects, available for nationwide hire. Our rental options are flexible, and all machinery is fully serviced and sanitised prior to leaving our HQ, ensuring everything is in tip-top condition and ready to work upon arrival to site. We can’t wait to see what 2021 has to offer, therefore our plant hire services will recommence from January 4th.
Workshop
This year our in-house workshop team have continued to work extremely hard throughout the pandemic to develop and manufacture a selection of new rigs and equipment, service a vast number of client rigs and continue to excellently maintain our hire fleet.
This summer our Cobra T12000 mini rotary rig was completed and introduced into the piling market. The T12000 was entirely designed and manufactured in-house, utilising the best of British engineering and the highest quality materials. The T12000 has been extremely well received by both our hire and sales clients and has also been featured in a number of prestigious drilling magazines.
Our workshop team have also fabricated five custom-built machines for a range of clients situated both in the UK and abroad. In addition, our team have completed a variety of rig modifications and equipment overhauls. From rig resprays and mast builds, to auger extensions and gate inserts, our team consistently deliver, and strive to offer a wide variety of services to meet the extensive requirements of the piling community.
Miscellaneous
In addition to the wonderful achievements of our hire, sales, and workshop teams, since the start of quarter-two we have welcomed three new members of staff across three departments. Our Marketing, Accounts and Workshop teams have expanded respectively, enabling us to grow bigger and better!
This year we have also been published in 7 magazines and have been able to team up with a handful of fantastic companies to further promote our brand and our products internationally. Keep your eyes peeled for more collaborations coming soon! Plus, as if all of that wasn’t exciting enough, we’re also working on a brand-new product which should be ready to launch next summer.
